In order that the pupils will not be missing out on learning, we will supply ideas, and where appropriate, resources similar to what they would have had in school.

Staff will be undertaking a programme of additional online and/or in-house training in lieu of Friday’s directed time.

Activities we had planned for Friday will be rearranged as far as possible.

This day, now advised by the government, allows the whole school community to be safely within Tier 3 restrictions for an additional day before Christmas, and for staff to manage and coordinate any positive cases for the 6-day period required of schools from the end of term.

The Christmas holiday period will now be as follows:

Thursday 17^th December: End of term

Friday 18th December: School closed

Monday 4^th January:  School reopens

Thank you to you all for keeping us so well informed of children at home due to symptoms or being required to isolate. Please can I ask that you continue to do this as soon as possible in the lead up to the end of term, so we can continue to work together to keep everyone as safe as possible.

If your child has any potential symptoms of Covid, or has been with someone who has tested positive, please keep them off school until they have been tested or completed isolation, as positive cases in class bubbles will result in classes and staff needing to isolate over Christmas.

Details of how positive Covid cases will be managed over Christmas will be shared with you next week.
