Face Covering Advice
Dear Families,
I thought it best to clarify what the latest advice is regarding face coverings and where it has come from.
A message was put on the middlesbrough.gov.uk website over the weekend. This is local rather than national guidance.
It is just taking us back to the situation before the changes were put in place in May which said face coverings were no longer required in classrooms but were still recommended in communal areas.
We have never insisted on any pupils wearing face coverings but have encouraged them where possible. We know it is not possible for some, but we also know that a great many of our secondary and Post 16 pupils have chosen to wear them. Nothing has changed in this respect. All we want to do is keep everyone as safe as we can given the rising numbers, and to avoid groups having to isolate and miss time in school.
Kind regards
Janis
