World War Two Experience
Lower School’s World War Two Experience
As part of our Word Around Me topic linked to History all of the students in Lower School took part in a multi-sensory experience, immersed in sights and sounds from the 1940’s era and World War Two. They enjoyed a tea party, listened to an air raid siren, hid in a shelter, planted a Victory Garden and marched around with suitcases ready to evacuate. We explored poppies in remembrance and celebrated the end of the war with dancing, waving flags and bouncing balloons on the parachute. Here is a video that captures some of this experience.
